Educared (in Spanish), a non-profit organization in Peru funded by Fundación Telefónica Movistar (in Spanish) and “la Caixa” Foundation, helps families, teachers, professors, and other education professionals learn about new ways to teach children with and without disabilities. Educared provides long-distance virtual learning opportunities (in Spanish) for education professionals on a variety of topics, including mathematics, writing, and the inclusion of children with disabilities in the classroom, through a web-based platform. Educared’s blog (in Spanish) discusses topics related to education, such as where education is going, inclusion of children with disabilities, where the use of technology in education is headed, and returning to school after the COVID-19 pandemic. Educare’s resources include a video library of events (in Spanish), resources for the classroom (in Spanish), a virtual library (in Spanish), and online educational platforms. It also provides a series of best practices related to the use of information and communication technologies to help all children with and without disabilities make the most of their education. Finally, the themed communities (in Spanish) hosted by Educared provide a place for education professionals and families to discuss topics related to the education of young children, including Voices for Inclusion (in Spanish) to promote and support the inclusion of children with disabilities.
