The Spanish Federation of Neuromuscular Diseases (Fundación ASEM, Spanish acronym) (in Spanish) is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that unites associations and foundations in Spain related to neuromuscular diseases and disabilities. Currently, the Federation consists of 29 federated entities, representing more than 60,000 people with neuromuscular diseases or disabilities throughout Spain and works towards the development and improvement of the quality of life of people with these diseases and disabilities and their families, along with their inclusion in their communities. Federación ASEM works to raise awareness about the difficulties in treating and preventing neuromuscular diseases (in Spanish); provides information to people with neuromuscular diseases and disabilities (in Spanish), their families, and professionals; and promotes research on all topics related to neuromuscular diseases (in Spanish). The Federation also provides various publications, including books, journals, guides, factsheets, and articles related to neuromuscular diseases and disabilities (in Spanish).
