The Life Champions Foundation (in Spanish) is a not-for-profit, humanitarian aid organization, which works for the comprehensive improvement of the quality of life of vulnerable populations, especially people with disabilities of all ages, in Colombia. The Foundation designs and executes transparent and viable programs related to social communication and journalism, and contributes to the inclusion of people with disabilities in employment and in the community with the goal of promoting respect for everyone’s human rights. The Foundation also works with donors of equipment and other items to help satisfy the unmet needs of people with disabilities, including mobility aids, medical equipment, assistive technology, adaptive sports equipment, and more. The Foundation has created the Campeones de la Vida podcast (in Spanish), run by journalists with and without disabilities, to increase the social inclusion of and improve the quality of life of people with disabilities. The Foundation also shares the latest news on Paralympic sports (in Spanish) and what other organizations are doing (in Spanish) for and with people with disabilities in Colombia. Finally, the Life Champions Foundation coordinates campaigns, brigades, events, conferences, surveys, and other activities to raise awareness of and promote the rights, achievements, and needs of people with disabilities, their families, and their caregivers.
