Apoyo Integral Gila A.C. (Gila) (in Spanish) is a non-profit association in Mexico that provides support and guidance to people with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) and their families and friends, so that the person with ALS may have a better quality of life and comprehensive support. Gila offers a palliative care program, supporting people with ALS and their families in their homes. This program includes emotional and material support and medical guidance. In addition to palliative care, Gila offers assistance in identifying assistive technology solutions and medical equipment needs, supplies and home adaptations. They also host a community for people with ALS and their families (in Spanish) that includes emotional support through mental health services for the person with ALS, their caregiver, and their family; medical guidance that includes general information and referral to specialists and health and physiotherapy programs; and an educational section listing organizations and businesses that provide free courses in a variety of areas from government agencies and organizations to a portal to arts and culture.
