Inserta Empleo – Promoting the Inclusion of People with Disabilities in the Workforce

Inserta Empleo (Spanish) was created in 2009 with the commitment to increase the inclusion of people with disabilities in the work environment in Spain. Inserta Empleo advices more than 3,500 companies in relation to their labor inclusion management and executes part of the Social Inclusion and Social Economy Operational Program (POISES) and the Youth Employment Operational Program (POEJ) (PDF – in Spanish), both of which seek the socio-labor inclusion of and equal opportunities for people with disabilities. As the human resources arm of the ONCE Foundation (Spanish), Inserta Empleo is a non-profit organization whose objectives are quality training and employment with long-term expectations, supporting the personal autonomy of people with disabilities, and supporting those at risk of social exclusion. Inserta Empleo improves the employment opportunities of people with disabilities through an intense and complete training process adapted to the specific needs of each person. Inserta Empleo serves the needs of people with disabilities and of employers through the provision of labor intermediation services, recruitment and development of talent with disabilities and employment management, with the aim of achieving the inclusion of people with disabilities in the workforce. Inserta Empleo also provides information via frequently asked questions (Spanish), news, and different programs to serve people with disabilities.
