Advocacy in Peru: Looking at CONFENADIP

The National Confederation of Disabled People of Peru (CONFENADIP, acronym in Spanish) is a non-profit civil association that is made up of federations and organizations of people with disabilities throughout Peru. CONFENADIP works on a national level for people with disabilities and this work includes promoting policies, programs, development plans, and technical and professional training for the employment, economic, and social inclusion of people with disabilities. The organization carries out dissemination and informational programs to raise awareness among central, regional, and local governments and society at large and promotes the creation and legal construction of municipal and regional offices for the protection, participation, and organization of residents with disabilities.
