National Information and Referral Service Day is November 16th !

Information and referral services (I&R) provide a lifeline to communities across the US. National I&R Day, brought to you by the Alliance of I&R Systems, highlights the importance of these services for people in need of assistance, from the most basic food and shelter to health care and employment.

Here at NARIC, every day is information and referral services day!

Our information specialists offer information and referral for free through our toll-free number and via TTY, by email and online virtual chat, and through our website.  You can work with information specialists, download our librarian’s picks info sheets, or search our Knowledgebase of disability and rehabilitation resources.  Our Ready Reference is the best tool to find the right resource fast: This ever-evolving resource is packed with websites, publications, databases, and phone numbers hand-picked by our information specialists with more than 20 years of experience in disability and rehabilitation. We use it every day to help our patrons locate commonly requested resources, answer basic questions about disability, and for general reference. The Ready Reference is divided into 20 categories such as financial assistance, aging, education, and more. It’s available 24/7 on our website.
