Gallaudet University, the only university in the world geared specifically toward the education of Deaf(*) and hard of hearing students, recently introduced a new Masters in Public Administration for Deaf, hard of hearing, and hearing professionals working in the public and nonprofit sectors. The program is designed for those who have at least one year of professional experience in these areas who can communicate with proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL). Courses build competencies in leadership and management, public policy process, critical thinking and decision making, public service advocacy, and communication.
