The Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) has an announced that funding is available from their Pilot Projects Grant Program. The purpose of this program is threefold: (1) the applications will aid PCORI in the development and enhancement of patient-centered outcomes research, (2) the program will aid the collection of data that can be utilized to advance the field of patient-centered outcomes research, and (3) the program will support the identification of methodologies that can be utilized in the advancement of patient-centered outcomes research. The eligibility requirements are part of the PFA. PCORI is planning to commit $13 million dollar under this program to support 40 awards. Letters of intent are required and must be received by PCORI no later than November 1st, 2011 and Grant Applications must be received no later that December 1st, 2011. The Title of this PFA is “PCORI Pilot Projects” and it’s reference number is PI-12-001.
