Webcast: Racial Disparities in Outcomes after SCI: Twenty Years of Research

We at NARIC are very excited to tell you about an upcoming webinar that we think you should attend. Dr. Jim Krause of the Medical University of South Carolina is presenting this talk. He is the director of the Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Outcomes Research Group at the Rehabilitation Research and Training Center on Secondary Conditions in Individuals with SCI. Dr. Krause’s research spans more than three decades and represents some of the best longitudinal data on what happens after spinal cord injury.

This webinar will

  • Describe multiple studies we have conducted related to outcomes after SCI
  • Highlight comparisons as a function of race/ethnicity
  • Discuss the practical implications of these findings for underrepresented populations
  • Discuss needs for future research.

The webinar will be presented July 26 from 1 to 2:30 EST. You can sign up for free at http://www.ccitonline.org/Accordent/musc/072611.

And check out their blog for videos of RRTC SCI Grand Rounds!
