The Reeve Foundation tweeted its Campaign to Cure Paralysis website, which features a Google map tagged with respondents to their survey (http://www.campaigntocureparalysis.org/c/ to be counted). The map is tagged with people living with paralysis, family, care providers, researchers, military personnel, and Reeve affiliates.
It’s a fabulous use of the Google Maps mashup. We wouldn’t use it as a statistical source (it’s self-reported and probably does not include people without reliable, regular internet access) but it gives you a good “snapshot” of paralysis in the US.
