For NIDRR Grantees: More on the KT Conference

Please note: The correct dates for the KT Conference are July 29 and 30. This post updates and corrects the previously listed dates of July 28 and 29. We apologize for any confusion!

New Editions released further information about the upcoming Knowledge Translation Meeting at the Mandarin Hotel, July 29 and 30:

On behalf of the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDRR), thank you for your interest in attending the Knowledge Translation Meeting.  The meeting will take place on July 29 and 30, 2009 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel located at 1330 Maryland Avenue, SW, Washington, DC.  There is a full-day program on July 29 and a half-day program on July 30.

Overnight Accommodations

We have a block of rooms available at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for the Knowledge Translation Meeting for the evenings of July 28 and July 29. The rate is $165.00 plus 14.5% tax per night.  Individuals are responsible for making their own reservations by calling the Mandarin Oriental Reservations Department at 888-888-1778 or 202-787-6140.  The deadline to make your reservation has been extended to July 10; however, we encourage you to make your reservation soon. Reservations made after July 10 will be accepted on a space and rate available basis only.

Please reference the NIDRR Knowledge Translation Meeting when making your reservation. All reservations must be accompanied by a first night deposit.  You will be asked to present a credit card at check-in to guarantee payment of your lodging.

Registration/Accommodation Forms

A registration/accommodations form is attached [to the emailed announcement].  If you are interested in attending, please return the completed form by Monday, July 20. You may return the form by email to abrameyer@neweditions.net or by fax to 703-356-8314.  If you require any special accommodations to participate in this meeting such as a wheelchair accessible guest room, an assistive listening device, a sign language interpreter, or meeting material in alternate formats, etc., please indicate your needs on the accommodations form.

Sponsored Meals

Continental breakfast, a working lunch and afternoon refreshments will be provided at the meeting.  If you require any special dietary needs, please indicate your requirements on the accommodations form.
