NIDRR Researchers in the News: Michael Boninger on MSNBC.com

Dr. Michael Boninger, principal investigator for the University of Pittsburgh’s Model Spinal Cord Injury System, was interviewed for an Associated Press article on the impending demise of the iBOT wheelchair. The article describes the conundrum of how to pay for expensive but enabling technology. The iBOT runs $22k, but Medicare will only pay $6k. Who pays the balance?
