Are you a wheelchair or scooter user? Here’s your chance to contribute to an important project:
People who rely on wheeled mobility devices to get around their communities confront a variety of obstacles that may make it difficult for them participate in everyday activities. Researchers at CATEA (Center for Assistive Technology and Environmental Access) are interested in learning more about these barriers and how they impact people who use a wheelchair or scooter.
Beginning April 1, 2009 we are contacting people who use a wheelchair or scooter. We invite you to participate in an on-line survey about barriers in your communities that may hinder you as you go about your daily activities. The survey will take approximately 20 minutes to complete. Results are intended to help both researchers and social policy experts better understand the significance of barriers to community participation for wheeled mobility users.
